New sign on the new hall

The new sign on the facade is up and we got a very nice patio in the sunny corner where we have both breakfast, lunch and afternoon fika, when the weather allows. In the big windows of the hall one can glimpse our banana plants that are growing like crazy after they arrived to the new assembly hall. They are just as happy as we are about the new building.

Beijer Tech signs agreement to acquire Källström Engineering Systems

Taken from the Pressrelease:

Beijer Alma’s subsidiary Beijer Tech has signed an agreement to acquire 85.6% of the shares in Källström Engineering Systems AB (“Källström”). The acquisition is expected to be completed during the third quarter of 2021.

Källström designs and produces filling and mixing equipment for corrosive agents, primarily for the international battery industry. The company has a high level of technical competence with almost 30 years of experience from the industry and a well-established brand with long customer relationships. Källström has sales of approximately SEK 35 million with good profitability.

Beijer Tech’s CEO, Staffan Johansson, comments on the deal “I am impressed by the market position Källström has managed to build up with a large share of international sales and I am pleased that we have completed this acquisition. The company is well-managed, niched and gives Beijer Tech a new product area in an exciting future industry. ”

Källströms CEO, Anders Källström, comments on the deal: “We look forward to develop our business further together with Beijer Tech. We are convinced that we have found the right strategic partner in Beijer Tech for Källströms long-term development and future growth.”

After the transaction, the three previous main owners will continue to remain as operating minority owners to continue to develop the business together with Beijer Tech. In connection with the transaction, Källström’s CEO, Anders Källström, has chosen to take on a new role as technical manager and hand over the role of CEO to the company’s current construction manager, Jim Sandberg. The third co-owner, Bo Johansson, will continue as before in his role as sales manager.

Beijer Alma’s CEO, Henrik Perbeck, also comments on the deal: “Through the acquisition of Källström, Beijer Tech continues its strategy to acquire good companies in exciting niches with a high degree of refinement.”

Low service for 3 weeks

During summer vacation our spare part orders will be more or less closed down for three weeks during summer 2021: week 29, 30, 31. This means we will be low on personell for spare part orders from July 19 to August 9. Also, please note that apart from the summer holidays the ongoing Corona-situation might delay deliveries further. We will of course do our best to help and speed things up under the circumstances!

Summer is coming!

Summer is coming! We'll get back with more information if we decide to close Källström during summer.

During the summer we will be short of personell so please note anticipated longer delivery times. Place your orders in good time. Also, please note that due to the summer holidays and the ongoing Corona-situation deliveries will be delayed. We will do our best to speed things up and help you under the circumstances!

(Note! The picture, and it's ugly background, is in no way related or a comment to the Corona-situation or to slower deliveries. It's just our neighbours backside).

Congratulations to co-worker

Today we congratulates one of our co-workers, Fredrik Larsson, who have recieved the Culture Price from Eslöv. Beside his work with technical information and project managing at Källström Fredrik has been engaged in his artistry for the last 25 years or so. A couple of weeks ago he received the great honor of being choosen to recieve the Eslöv Community Culture Price for 2020. The prize was given for his artistry and his work with art in Eslöv which have included cooperation with pupils from the Eslöv Cultur-school. Much of his artistry have revolved around the town of Eslöv which is Fredriks birth city. When he returned to Eslöv in 2003 he started to explore the towns history through his art and artistry, which have turned up a lot of unexpected stories when he “uncovered”/discovered an archive. Fredrik is mostly working with contemporary art such as storytelling, installation and performance.

New section

Extended section for options

Our homepage is step-by-step updated and today a section got extended with a new undersection about options for our battery-filler.

We have collected all options in one place and you can see it here.

Concrete floor

Time to fill the hall with concrete to get a sturdy floor in our new assembly hall. A gigant pump is constantly filled up by concrete trucks.

The concrete is pumped via a long arm and hose into the hall to form the new floor.

Filing up the floorbed with concrete goes rather quick and the liquid floor surface is flattened as we go.

The hall is filling up bit by bit and a shiny concrete surface emerges more and more.

Almost done, just a few square meters to go…

As soon as the concrete starts to harden the polishing of the surface is up. This looks like a machine I personally would love to ride around on.

New floor hardened and is now ready for use.

Next step is furnishing and set up of the interior as soon as the doors are up.

Scope of supply extended

A new capping machine has been developed for the chemical industry, a Källström capping-machine. This machine is designed to work together with a Källström drum-filler and is directly connected after the filling machine for putting caps on drums and containers. Filling and capping is made simultaneously in one line.

The machine is built entirely of acid proof stainless steel and acid proof plastic materials, which makes it entirely resilient against corrosive environment and agressive liquids, like all Källström machines.

New container filler

A new container filler, CF4-2S, suited for a range of containers (2-25 liters) has been developed for the chemical industry. The machine is designed for highly aggressive liquids and are designed to be connected to the ventilation system for evacuating toxic fumes. The filler is fully automatic and performs a leak-test of the containers and is filling on a scale-unit for an exact filling.
